Erling Iversen is an unkown war hero

Erling Iversen, a 94-year old man from Saltdal in Nordland. As he was 20 years old he was participating in bringing the Norwegian gold reserves out of the country, before the germans could capture it. The gold counted for around 240 million NOK ( £24.million), which was a huge amount of money in 1940. Their orders were clear, if the germans attacked the fishing vessels that carried the gold, they were to be sunk. Luckily, they all got away from Norway, crossed the Northern Sea, and arrived in the U.K. We met Iversen last week in Saltdal to hear his story.
